What does the role involve?

Reporting to the Head of Risk for Novuna Business Finance and with 4 direct reports you will manage the end-to-end delivery of the JSOX programme and ensure that Business Finance's 1st Line of Defence is effectively identifying, quantifying, monitoring, controlling, and reporting all risks and key controls.

Some of your key duties will include:

• Support the Head of Risk in the management and development of the Enterprise Risk Management Framework across Novuna Business Finance.

• Assist the management team in demonstrating increased accountability and responsibility for their risks.
• Overseeing the introduction of new processes and procedures across Business Finance and performing a quarterly risk identification exercise.

• Assessing and challenging business and management response and proposed actions as a result of an incident (moderate+) and near misses of equal magnitude.

What are we looking for?

You will be commercially focused with a risk mindset and an eye for detail. As you will be working with people across the Novuna Group you will need to have excellent stakeholder management skills, build strong relationships and communicate effectively at all levels.

In addition, we're looking for:

• Industry and regulatory knowledge of products and processes within the asset finance market
• Ability to collaborate, communicate and influence senior colleagues both within the Business Unit and at Group-level
• Ability to lead and manage a small but growing team and develop junior staff.
• Ability to think both operationally and strategically
