What does the role involve? 

Reporting into one of our Vehicle Downtime Team Leaders you'll work within a large team of Vehicle Downtime Controllers to support our customers in getting their vehicles back on the road as quickly and efficiently as possible when they are in the garage for maintenance or repair. Using your technical knowledge you'll be perfectly placed to support with the more complex vehicle downtime challenges and, where required, be in a position to authorise costs with repairers.

Some of your key duties will include: 

• Making proactive telephone contact with garages to ensure minimal 'downtime' of fleet vehicles
• Escalating downtime challenges with garages and internal stakeholders
• Responding to emails regarding updates of vehicle downtime
• Frequently updating customers with the progress of their repairs in a polite, friendly and concise manner

Please note we adopt a hybrid approach to our ways of working which for this role we see you based in our Trowbridge office a minimum of 2 days per week.

What are we looking for? 

To be considered for this role you'll be a natural communicator, comfortable talking to both garages and our customers via telephone, email and system updates. You'll be proactive and get a real sense of satisfaction when your liaison between garage and customer results in getting the vehicle back on the road in a timely manner.

Also, we're looking for the following:  

• A vehicle technician qualification such as City & Guilds
• You're able to work well with ever-changing deadlines and remain calm under pressure
• Committed to seeing things through - confident in challenging where required to ensure the best possible outcome is received for the customer
• Ability to deliver accurate work, with great attention to detail
