This role is Hybrid and will require 1 day in the office per week, applicants must be in commutable distance from either our Newbury or Staines sites.

What does the role involve?

Reporting to the Data and Analytics Practice Manager, you'll lead a team of Data Engineers to design, build, and maintain the Data Lakehouse at Novuna. You'll play an integral role in taking our existing data capabilities and solutions on a journey to the next level to enable the business to make more happen with data.

Some of your key duties will include:

Providing outstanding data solutions to stakeholders across Novuna
Supporting the business to glean meaningful insights and inform decision making
Designing and implementing cutting edge Data Lakehouse solutions
Building and maintaining Data pipelines

What are we looking for?

You'll demonstrate a real passion for data culture in the business world and will embody a strong combination of analytical and technical skills to ensure that Novuna is realising value from its data. You're a creative problem solver who likes to challenge norms and bring new ideas to the table!

Also, we're looking for the following:

Strong people leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and coach colleagues
Good working knowledge of MS Azure tech stack (Databricks, Data Factory, Azure DevOps)
Knowledge of relational databases, data lake and data lakehouse architectures
Ability to think on your feet and problem solve
