L1 Fraud Investigator

What does the role involve?

You will be working as part of a larger team of 14 who are passionate about stopping fraudsters from scamming victims! This team is known for being supportive and thriving from working as a close-knit unit. 

Reporting directly to the Financial Crime Team Manager, you will collaborate closely with your colleagues to proactively identify and reduce the business unit's exposure to financial crime, with a particular emphasis on fraud prevention.

This is a hybrid position, requiring a minimum of two days per week on-site at our Leeds office. Your standard working hours will be either 08:00–16:30 or 08:30–17:00, depending on scheduling.

Shift Requirements

• One late shift per week: 11:30–20:00
• One full weekend shift per month, plus an additional Saturday or Sunday

Some of your key duties will include:

• Managing fraud referrals, personal loans, and retail applications
• Investigating live agreements through the portfolio system
• Completing ID verification checks on selected customers and customer due diligence
• Using fraud tool systems in place to aid investigations
• Dealing with Fraud Victim calls
