**This will begin as a 6 month FTC with the possibility of a permanent hire, subject to experience. An ideal candidate must be living in the South East in order to travel between clients.
What does the role involve?
Working within the credit risk function, the purpose of the field audit team is to visit and appraise customer businesses and collateral to identify any threats and breaches of our agreement or credit facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Auditing existing clients and produce quality reports which identify, quantify, and recommend actions (where appropriate) to mitigate all collateral risk and service issues.
- Survey prospective clients to conduct a thorough review of all the relevant aspects of the businesses, providing accurate and concise reports with sound, reasoned findings & recommendations.
- Ensure that any adverse trends and statistics, clients and prospects with deteriorating profiles and suspicions of fraud are identified and escalated.
- Meet audit related targets on a month to month basis.
- To lead by example, particularly in alignment to the business unit's strategic imperatives. Sharing best practice and technical knowledge to help develop an effective team.
- Maintain awareness and competency in using new technology in audit processes whilst maintaining reporting standards.
- Develop and improve upon current process, policies, and procedures.
- Undertake any other duties as required from time to time in accordance with Novuna's business needs.
What are we looking for?
- Credit/Risk based lending experience within the Invoice Finance industry, ideally with experience in an audit and survey role.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good knowledge of MS Office.
- Tenacity, perseverance, and very strong attention to detail.
- Comfortable when dealing with internal and external stakeholders.
- A self motivated individual with the ability to work on their own initiative.
Ideal But No Essential
- Accounting or finance background.
- UK Finance qualification
