Celebrating our apprentices this National Apprenticeship Week
Whether it's at the beginning of your career to learn and build your understanding of a business or something used later down the line to deep-dive into an area of interest, an apprenticeship is a great way of furthering your learning.
As part of celebrating NAW 2023, we spoke to apprentices past and present about why they chose to do an apprenticeship and how they balance work and study:
"The aspect I have enjoyed the most has been working amongst my team to decision applications. Becoming a valued member of the team has allowed me to feel more comfortable reaching out when in need. This has thus helped me further my knowledge in my role."
Lilly Moss, Risk Operations Apprentice
"I chose an apprenticeship as I believed it would enhance my skills and knowledge giving me the chance for better opportunities in the future. I am also very sure this particular apprenticeship will work seamlessly within my current role and give me many skills to use in tasks day to day. I have found that the knowledge I have gained from my current role also helps with the tasks set through the apprenticeship. Both of these work reciprocally enhancing my development in both areas."
Ellis Parker, Fraud Investigator
"Since starting the course, I have kept up regular contact with my line manager and have split up my off the job learning hours across the week rather than doing so in one go as this has enabled me to keep on top of any other work that requires completing as part of my day to day role"
Kieran Mulley, Corporate Risk Assessor
