Our People Promise forms the basis of Novuna’s Employee Value Proposition (EVP) - the three overarching commitments we make to our employees in return for the skills, capabilities, and experience they bring to Novuna. It’s the essence of our company and what makes us unique.

Sustainability and decarbonisation have been at the heart of our business for many years and many of us have contributed to a range of projects and initiatives relating to sustainability and decarbonisation.
In May we announced that our new charity partner for the 2022/2023 financial year is Hubbub. As an award-winning social innovation charity, Hubbub will focus on practical actions that will help us all look after ourselves and the environment better. They are creating a bespoke programme of sustainability
activities and challenges. Not only will these bring colleagues together to make a positive, tangible impact on the climate, they will have a positive effect on the communities we operate in.
We have been working on our strategy to support the journey to net zero and have a number of science-based targets and initiatives currently going through approval.
Time to Shine.
Everyone plays a significant role to deliver for our customers and each other. This happens in an inclusive environment where you are always encouraged to be you and rewarded for a job well done.
We launched full hybrid working last month, after feedback we received from colleagues during the pandemic. Hybrid working gives our people more choice over where they work, taking into account the needs of the individual, the team and the customer.
Run by our colleagues, for our colleagues, communities aim to connect people across all of our sites, provide peer support and give people a collective voice on important topics. Our wellbeing and PRISM (LGBTQ+) communities have been running for a while now. We recently launched two new communities – the Women’s Inclusion Network, which aims to create a culture of inclusion that removes barriers and supports the development, empowerment and growth of females at Novuna, and the Colleague Ability Network, which has one simple vision - to build a culture where people with disabilities are embraced, encouraged, and empowered to realise their potential.

Learning and development has always been a primary focus for us at Novuna, but over the past couple of years, we have significantly improved our offering. In late 2021, we launched myLearning, a state-of-the-art, intuitive, and easy-to-use immersive learning platform. Giving you the ability to learn in the way that suits you, myLearning allows you to decide what, where, when, and how to learn.
In May 2022 we proudly became an Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) approved centre. ILM, a City & Guilds community brand, is the UK’s leading provider of leadership, management and coaching qualifications. After gaining ILM accreditation for our Aspire leadership programme, for which
we are just starting our third cohort we became an ILM approved centre to help employees
develop their leadership capability through trusted, quality assured training. With over 50 years’ experience in leadership development, the ILM set the highest benchmarks for leadership and management performance.
How do we measure our EVP?
“Our EVP can’t be devised by our leaders, HR, or Marketing. It’s based on our employees who are living and breathing our organisation’s values,” adds Kim. “We developed Our People Promise from the perceptions existing and potential employees have about Novuna’s brand and culture, including reasons why they join us, why they think we’re unique, what people value most about working here, as well as reasons given to stay or leave. We get this from the feedback our employees provide us, and we continue to measure this via the My Voice app, the annual employee survey and ad-hoc surveys, as well as exit interviews and Glassdoor reviews.
