More Opportunities to Learn
We’re extremely proud to announce that we are now an Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) approved centre. ILM, a City & Guilds community brand, is the UK’s leading provider of leadership, management and coaching qualifications.
The world of work is changing fast, bringing increased expectations and fresh management challenges. Businesses need confident leaders, not just at the helm but at every level of the business. According to the ILM, there is a shortage of leadership skills in the UK that makes us 18% less productive on average than other G7 nations.
Becoming an ILM centre will give Novuna the chance to help employees develop their leadership capability through trusted, quality assured training. With over 50 years’ experience in leadership development, the ILM set the highest benchmarks for leadership and management performance.
They have helped over a million people to develop essential workplace skills that build them up to be stronger leaders.
“After gaining ILM accreditation for our Aspire leadership programme, we knew we wanted to become an ILM approved centre,” says Learning and Development Manager Samantha Campbell. “It was a long application process, and a lot of hard work went into ensuring we reached the benchmark for ILM approval, but it’s such an exciting and important step forward for our people.
“Not only can we now deliver ILM leadership, mentoring and coaching qualifications in-house, being an ILM approved centre means we can build more custom programmes and qualifications to suit the development needs of our people. We have the freedom to choose the right approach for our people, whether it’s real-life workplace tasks or professional discussions.”
“I’m extremely proud of our people for the hard work that went into becoming an ILM approved centre,” says Head of Talent and Employee Experience Craig Oddy. “This accreditation will truly provide our people with plenty of opportunities to learn and make a difference to the business, as well as the time to shine in their roles. It’s a really exciting development and we hope our people are as excited as we are.”
“Initially we want to focus on the mentoring side of our offering through ILM, and we plan to expand our portfolio over time to develop our coaching capability and our people,” adds Sam. “We’ll keep you all updated with our progress.”
