What does the role involve?

Reporting into our Head of Risk you'll be joining us to play a key role in the planning and execution of our fraud and financial crime risk strategy. With two direct reports you'll use analytical techniques, the tools and technology at our disposal to ensure we are compliant, protect our customers and minimise our exposure to business losses through fraud and financial crime. You'll work collaboratively with stakeholders to drive improvements in financial crime rule sets and referral criteria to optimise the balance between risk and profitability.

Some of your key duties will include:

• Lead the team and be responsible for the continued professional development of the members of the Novuna Business Finance Fraud team
• Work collaboratively with personnel to ensure financial crime risk is mitigated across Novuna Business Finance
• Responsible for the maintenance of Financial Crime Prevention procedures and standards across NBF, including educational content
• Actively participate in the Novuna Operational Risk & Conduct Committee

What are we looking for?

You'll be joining us with experience of fraud and financial crime within the asset finance industry and have demonstrable people management experience. You'll possess strong stakeholder management skills, the ability to build relationships and influence senior stakeholders will ensure you work collaboratively to contribute to our commercial objectives.

Also, we're looking for the following: 

• Ability to produce high quality, focused, concise reports on complex matters
• Ability to collaborate, negotiate with and influence senior colleagues

• Knowledge of continuous improvement and process analysis

• Previous experience of dealing with regulatory bodies and government agencies
