Portfolio Strategy Manager

What does the role involve?

Reporting into our Head of Business Change, as the Portfolio Strategy Manager you'll lead and oversee the delivery of initiatives within all Pillars of our Consumer Finance and Vehicle Solutions Business Units to ensure they are being managed effectively, to time, cost and quality. You'll also own the future pipeline planning cycle, defining the three-year change plan across both business units, working closely with the Pillar Sponsors, Head of Change, Senior Leadership Teams and other relevant stakeholders in the business, change function and IT to enable informed portfolio prioritisation in line with agreed change budgets and BU vision / strategy.

Some of your key duties will also include:

• Managing a team of programme management professionals, providing coaching and mentoring
• Ensuring our processes are robust and continually improved, alongside helping to ensure our people agenda remains current
• Providing independent oversight of pillar delivery, raising and escalating risks and issues to ensure projects deliver to time and budget and achieve the identified value
• Responsible for the definition and prioritisation of our portfolio across two business units with an estimated combined annual budget of £15m

What are we looking for?

To be considered for this role you'll have extensive change management and leadership experience and can evidence successful delivery of a large scale change portfolio. You'll also have the ability to engage, manage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders in order to ensure delivery objectives are met and that a positive change culture is embedded across both business units.

Also, we're looking for the following: 

• Ability to identify and effectively manage cross programme / project dependencies
• Ability to manage large change budgets with a focus on benefits and ROI
• A continuous improvement mindset
• Experience of leading a team with a focus on engagement and continuous development
