What does the role involve? 

Reporting into the Business Unit MD we have an exciting opportunity available for a HR Business Partner to join our European Vendor Finance business unit based in Staines of circa 50 employees. This role is integral to our growth plans into Europe, and you'll partner with the senior leadership team to interpret and to develop the HR strategy and deliver effective operational HR solutions to support those strategies and objectives.

As the European HR Business Partner you'll research, use and share data analytics with the leadership team to inform and guide people management decisions. You'll ensure effective workforce plans are in place to support the growing needs of the business and influence and coach stakeholders to ensure operational HR solutions are carried out effectively.

Some of your key duties will also include:

  • Research, develop and implement the full range of people services required during the launch of new country operations
  • Fine tune existing HR solutions ensuring compliance with legislative and legal requirements in existing non-UK locations
  • Partner with the leadership team to drive key initiatives such as recruitment, business change, training, talent and succession management, and employee engagement across the business unit
  • Providing expert advice to leaders and managers in Employee Relations and recommending solutions to address identified trends

Although a more standalone role within the business unit you'll have the support of the leadership team who are eager to learn and develop people solutions to enable growth. You'll also be supported by colleagues in the Group wide HR team via centres of excellence to help you deliver great HR solutions.

What are we looking for?

To be successful in the role you'll be a skilled and knowledgeable HR professional who has the desire, drive and ability to be able to collaborate and influence senior leaders and be able to plan, execute and deliver a ‘hands-on' HR service. If you have knowledge of European HR with experience of working within the Financial Services industry that would be great, if not then a strong hunger and desire to learn would be a must.

In addition, you'll be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A good generalist HR background with experience of identifying and delivering operational training requirements
  • Proven skills in creating and delivering HR solutions that support business objectives
  • Knowledge of latest HR practice and industry trends
  • Ability to work under own initiative to get things done and demonstrate a high level of resilience to changing needs of a fast paced, rapidly growing business

We offer a hybrid working approach which for this role would be a minimum of 3 days per week in our Staines office therefore you must live within commutable distance and comfortable being more office based.
