What does the role involve?

Following a period of sustained growth, we have a newly created role for a competent and credible Billing Manager to oversee our billings teams. Based in our gorgeous new Newbury office, you'll be responsible for day-to-day oversight and leadership of our billing teams.

You'll have direct line management responsibility for several Billing Team Leaders, and indirect line management of their requisite teams of Billing Controllers. Your responsibilities will include ensuring we have the right processes, procedures and governance in place to ensure smooth customer experiences and that we are billing customers accurately and on time.

Some of your key duties will include:

Monitoring productivity and performance, implementing remedial actions where required
Identifying processes that can be automated or made more efficient
Ensuring new customer billing processes are implemented effectively and with minimal friction
Leadership, coaching, and development of your teams

What are we looking for?

You have strong technical knowledge in relation to financial process governance and complex billing processes. You've likely worked in a regulated industry such as financial services, telecoms or utilities, and have gained exposure to a range of factors that add complexity to billing such as dealing in multiple currencies.

Also, we're looking for the following:

Strong technical accounting knowledge, with hands-on experience of managing complex billing operations
Excellent knowledge of billing processes and governance
Adaptable and supportive leadership style
Experience of managing through change
Continuous improvement mindset
