What does the role involve?

Reporting into our Application Support Team Leader, as an Application Support Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in liaising between our internal service management and our IT delivery teams to monitor, troubleshoot and diagnose live incidents. You'll be given the opportunity use technologies that underpin our IT strategy which will include Webservices Integration, Cloud services (Azure/AWS).

This role involves on call support, which is typically once per month for 1 week.

Some of your key duties will include:

2nd/3rd line support and monitoring the health of applications
Troubleshooting and diagnosing live incidents and managing through to resolution
Working collaboratively with our development squads, effectively bridging the gap between development and operations
Developing knowledge and keeping abreast with Power Platform tools (in particular Power Apps and Power Automate) to provide application support to the wider business

What are we looking for?

You'll enjoy working with technology and will have good all-round knowledge of IT. You'll have a desire to learn new skills and will be seeking an opportunity to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

Also, we're looking for the following:

Evidence of working within a Service Desk ticketing system environment e.g. ServiceNow
Good working Knowledge of Power Platform and the ability to provide technical support
Strong stakeholder and vendor management skills
Able to prioritise work effectively to meet demand
