Charity & Volunteering
Supporting charity is an integral part of our culture at Novuna. We partner with charities that make a positive difference to people and the communities in which we live and work and, those which take positive long-lasting action for the environment. Our charitable contributions either through donations, matched funding, volunteering, or community support are based on a commitment to contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and a desire to develop long-lasting relationships to make a real difference.
In addition to charitable giving, everyone receives one paid volunteering day each year, or the opportunity to gift their day to colleagues.
If you're keen to raise money for charity, you'll find plenty of opportunities to do so at Novuna.
We offer matched funding up to £1,000 for individual fundraising events and £5,000 for groups of three colleagues or more. We also offer matched funding for companywide fundraising events, such as Crisis at Christmas a cause we’ve been supporting for 3 years which has raised over £15,000 and has helped provide homeless people with access to accommodation, healthcare, food, and company during the festive period.
Anyone can donate a chosen amount directly from their monthly salary through Give as You Earn and the Pennies from Heaven scheme makes it easy to pledge the pennies in your monthly pay to our No Poverty partner Crisis.
We've partnered with Hubbub as
our headline charity partner for a second year. Hubbub is an award-winning
social innovation charity that creates campaigns to make environmental action
easy and fun. We work closely with Hubbub to develop a programme of activities
for our people to come together and positively impact the climate.
The Wildlife Trusts
The Wildlife Trusts is a
grassroots movement with over 2,300 nature reserves across the UK and the
demand for 3,500 volunteer days. Our partnership enables people to get
outdoors, connect as a team and get stuck into everything from clearing
woodland and planting trees to building paths and restoration works. We’re
passionate about our colleagues reconnecting with nature.
Young Enterprise reaches over 250,000 young people every year. We’re passionate about the talent of the future and through our partnership with YE, we help groups of young people aged 11 to 16 build important skills like communication, confidence, financial capability, initiative, organisation, problem-solving, teamwork and resilience.
Crisis is the national charity for homeless people, providing vital help so that people can rebuild their lives and are supported out of homelessness for good. We support Crisis throughout the year with a particular focus on Christmas Volunteering activities and raising vital funds for the Crisis at Christmas campaign.
