60 seconds with…
Isaac Kennedy, Graduate, Change Delivery, Business Finance

What attracted you to the Novuna Graduate Scheme?
I started work in Vehicle Solutions in 2020 in the Remarketing team, then was on secondment in the specialist Supply and Build team. I really liked working for Novuna but was on a temporary contract, so I started looking with my managers to see what I could do next. That happened to be just as the Graduate scheme was announced. I have a degree in Business Management and HR from Nottingham Trent University and really thought the advertised Graduate role in Change Delivery would fit well with my degree and experience. I already liked the ethos of the business - Novuna really look after you, and this was the next big step I was looking for. It was especially attractive as you get a permanent role at the end of the scheme, it sounded like a great start to my career. I’m really excited to get stuck in.

How was the application process?
I applied in October and I found out I got the role on Christmas eve. The virtual assessment centre went smoothly, and it didn’t feel awkward not being in person! It was great to hear from Robert Gordon and other colleagues high up in business, it was interesting to hear about their career progression with Hitachi. I’m excited to find out more about Business Finance branch of Hitachi and understand how I can help other people, by helping the Change team to facilitate improvements. It’ll be great to learn a whole different side to Novuna.

What do you enjoy doing out of work?
Out of work, I’m into team sports - I play hockey, cricket, and football. Work is full on and I’m sat down all day, so it’s good to get out and do exercise. I like to keep myself active, I find it’s what relaxes me. I read a lot too and love to travel. I just moved to Bristol with my university friends which is fun. We’re all working from home so it’s nice to have my own ‘colleagues’ at home!
