What does the role involve?

You will be responsible for establishing and operating effective credit risk governance and management. You will assist in the development and implementation of credit risk analytical tools used within the Novuna Consumer Finance division. This is a hybrid role where you will be working 2 days from our Leeds office.

Some of your key duties will include:

  • Pro-actively identify improvements to the Novuna Consumer Finance credit risk strategy
  • Forecasting and monitoring the changes in our economy e.g. cost of living to evaluate future impacts 
  • Deliver predictability and control of bad debt performance to a planned level of loss
  • Take the lead in identifying and implementing innovative decision, modelling and forecasting technology to drive improvements 

What are we looking for?

You enjoy fact-finding and breaking down data, a natural problem solver who comes with great attention to detail. You're a team player who likes to collaborate with your colleagues and different teams to share knowledge. You're keen and eager to grow in the world of Risk Analytics and have a strong interest in working with the newest technologies and methodologies to help generate the best outcomes for our customers. 

Also, we're looking for the following: 

  • Self-sufficient and able to follow a defined process
  • Experience with SAS would be beneficial however this can also be taught within the role
  • Strong numeracy skills, reflected through a numerate or business degree 
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
